Lunyu III. 14. (54)

The completeness and elegance of the institutions of the Châu dynasty.
The Master said, "Châu had the advantage of viewing the two past dynasties. How complete and elegant are its regulations! I follow Châu."

Legge III.14.

The Master said, 'The Chou is resplendent in culture, having before it the example of the two previous dynasties. I am for the Chou.'

Lau [3:14]

Le Maître dit : « La dynastie des Tcheou a consulté et copié les lois des deux dynasties précédentes1. Que les lois des Tcheou sont belles ! Moi, j'observe les lois des Tcheou. »
