Lunyu VII. 33. (183)

Acknowledgement of Confucius in estimating himself.
The Master said, "In letters I am perhaps equal to other men, but the character of the superior man, carrying out in his conduct what he professes, is what I have not yet attained to."

Legge VII.32.

The Master said, 'In unstinted effort I can compare with others, but in being a practising gentleman I have had, as yet, no success.'

Lau [7:33]

Le Maître dit : « J'ai peut-être autant d'érudition qu'un autre ; mais je ne suis pas encore parvenu à agir en homme honorable. »

Couvreur VII.32.

33. Nabi bersabda, "Di dalam hal pengetahuan Kitab, mungkin Aku sudah menyamai orang-orang lain ; tetapi di dalam hal kesungguhan berlaku sebagai seorang Junzi, Aku masih khawatir belum berhasil."
