Lunyu V. 18. (110)

The superstition of Tsang Wan.
The Master said, "Tsang Wan kept a large tortoise in a house, on the capitals of the pillars of which he had hills made, and with representations of duckweed on the small pillars above the beams supporting the rafters. – Of what sort was his wisdom?"

Legge V.17.

The Master said, 'When housing his great tortoise, Tsang Wen chung had the capitals of the pillars carved in the shape of hills and the rafterposts painted in a duckweed design. What is one to think of his intelligence?'

Lau [5:18]

(Tchou Hsi)

Couvreur V.17.

18. Nabi bersabda, "Zang Wen-zhong mendirikan rumah untuk seekor kura-kura besar, puncak tiang utamanya diukir bentuk gunung-gunungan dan pada tiang-tiang lainnya dilukis gambar-gambar ganggeng. Entah orang pandai macam apakah ia !"
