Zhongyong I. 3.

There is nothing more visible than what is secret, and nothing more manifest than what is minute. Therefore the superior man is watchful over himself, when he is alone.

Legge I.3.

纵是最隐蔽的东西,也没有不表现的;纵是最细微的东西,也没有不显示的,所以君子在一个人独处的时候,也谨慎小心。

白话翻译

Il n'y a rien de plus évident que ce qui est secret, et rien de plus manifeste que l'instant. Par conséquent l'homme supérieur est attentif à lui-même, quand il est seul.
