Lunyu VII. 17. (167)

The value which Confucius set upon the study of the Yî.
The Master said, "If some years were added to my life, I would give fifty to the study of the Yî, and then I might come to be without great faults."

Legge VII.16.

The Master said, 'Grant me a few more years so that I may study at the age of fifty and I shall be free from major errors.'

Le Maître dit : « Accordez-moi encore quelques années de vie, et quand j'aurais étudié cinquante ans le Livre des Mutations1, je pourrais éviter les fautes graves. »

1. Une autre interprétation est possible : «  À cinquante ans, j'étudierai le Livre des Mutations » (MBC).

Couvreur VII.16.

17. Nabi bersabda, "Kalau dipanjangkan usiaKu sehingga mencapai umur 50 tahun untuk meyakinkan Kitab Yi-jing, niscaya Aku dapat membebaskan diri dari kesalahan-kesalahan besar".
