II. Only the superior man can follow the Mean; the mean man is always violating it.

Chung-nî said, "The superior man embodies the course of the Mean; the mean man acts contrary to the course of the Mean.

促尼说:“君子实行的是不偏不倚、永恒不变的中庸之道,小人却声违反这中庸之道。

白话翻译

Chung-nî dit, « l'homme supérieur incarne la voie du Milieu; l'homme médiocre agit en opposition à la voie du Milieu.
