XI. Only the sage man can come up to the requirements of the Mean.

Zhongyong XI. 3.

"The superior man accords with the course of the Mean. Though he may be all unknown, unregarded by the world, he feels no regret.– It is only the sage who is able for this."

君子依循中庸之道,即使隐循到山林中,不被人所知,也不后悔,这只是圣人能够这样。”

L'homme supérieur s'accorder avec la voie du Milieu. Bien qu'il puisse être inconnu, ignoré par le monde, il ne ressent aucun regret. Seul le sage est capable de cela.
