The superiority of Hûi to the other disciples.
The Master said, "Such was Hûi that for three months there would be nothing in his mind contrary to perfect virtue. The others may attain to this on some days or in some months, but nothing more."
Legge VI.5.
The Master said, 'In his heart for three months at a time Hui does not lapse from benevolence. The others attain benevolence merely by fits and starts.'

Le Maître dit : « Ien Houei passait trois mois entiers sans que son cœur s'écartât de la vertu d'humanité. Mes autres disciples l'atteignent tout au plus une fois par jour ou par mois, et ils s'arrêtent. »
