Ch'î-tiâo K'âi's opinion of the qualifications necessary to taking office.
The Master was wishing Ch'î-tiâo K'âi to enter an official employment. He replied, "I am not yet able to rest in the assurance of THIS." The Master was pleased.
Legge V.5.
The Master told Ch'i-tiao K'ai to take office. Ch'i-tiao K'ai said, 'I cannot trust myself to do so yet.' The Master was pleased.

Le Maître ayant engagé Ts'i tiao K'ai à exercer une charge, celui-ci répondit : « Je ne me sens pas encore digne de foi. » Cette réponse réjouit le Maître.
