Confucius practised no concealment with his disciples.
The Master said, "Do you think, my disciples, that I have any concealments? I conceal nothing from you. There is nothing which I do that is not shown to you, my disciples;– that is my way."
Legge VII.23.
The Master said, 'My friends, do you think I am secretive? There is nothing which I hide from you. There is nothing I do which I do not share with you, my friends. There is Ch'iu for you.'
Lau [7:24]
Le Maître dit : « Pensez-vous, mes amis, que je vous cache quelque chose ? Je ne vous cache rien ; je n'ai rien fait dont je ne vous ai donné connaissance. Voilà comme je suis. »
