With what ease Tsze-lû could settle litigations.
1. The Master said, "Ah! it is Yû, who could with half a word settle litigations!"
2. Tsze-lû never slept over a promise.
Legge XII.12.
The Master said, 'If anyone can arrive at the truth in a legal dispute on the evidence of only one party, it is, perhaps, Yu.'
Tzu-lu never put off the fulfilment of a promise to the next day.

Le Maître dit : « Iou1 est homme à trancher un procès d'un seul mot. » Tzeu lou ne s'endormait pas sur ses promesses. Tzeu lou était loyal, sincère, lucide, résolu. Dès qu'il disait un mot, on se soumettait à sa décision avec confiance. (Tchou Hsi)
